Ambassador Publishing seeks an Editorial Assistant. Reporting to one Editor-in-Chief and one Executive Editor, the responsibilities include reviewing manuscripts; general administrative duties; communicating with authors and agents by phone and email; drafting sales copy; organizing schedules and meetings; sales and category research; and expense tracking.
Qualifications
Must be:
• Reliable, friendly, organized, and flexible.
• Be able to work independently, confidentially, and professionally in a fast-paced office environment.
• Possess strong MS Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as internet research and social media skills.
• Possess strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrate strong familiarity with and passion for popular contemporary non-fiction and fiction titles.
• Demonstrated interest in quality commercial and literary fiction, pop culture, current events, and narrative nonfiction (including memoir, popular history and science) preferred.
• Must have Bachelor’s Degree plus 3-5 years of experience in an editorial department.
